Jessica Davies, Advisor, Aboriginal Engagement

Jessica Davies recently joined the Communica Vancouver team with a Masters of Public Policy from Simon Fraser University. While covering a wide range of resource development and economic policies, her main focus at SFU was Aboriginal rights and title issues in British Columbia. Her academic experience revolves around Aboriginal consultation and accommodation and how those concepts apply to both government and private industry. Jessica’s employment background lies primarily with the Government of Canada in positions that focused on conflict resolution. Work with Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada’s Treaty Negotiation teams and a long-standing position as a Customs and Immigration Officer allowed Jessica to develop excellent communication and dispute resolution skills.
